Just wanted to post this. I’m kind of pleased where this load development has led too. Bergara BMP in 6.5 CM, Athlon Helios 6-24 X, Nosler Brass large primer. Winchester primer, 40.3g H5350, Berger 140g VLD Target. The only problem is with the bullet 20 thous off the lands the COAL is about .125 too long to fit in the mag!! But it does group well. I measured the group at .126”

Move it to mag lenght and do a seating test. Start moving it back .003 at a time. You will find a different node with the same charge. Provided you like your es/sd numbers where your at now
Yes I did try farther from the lands. Even to fit in the mag. But those bullets did not seem to like it. Wrong Ogive I guess. I have had good luck with the Hornady 140g HPBT match with it loaded to fit the mag. Not quite as good as this but close.
Very nice group in deed. Have you thought about trying seating depths further from the lands? Some guys have good results with seating bullets as far off as 0.120” from the lands. That might get you inside your magazine COAL limit too. Also, depending on the magazine you are using, you might try a different brand or type of magazine that offers more internal length. All metal construction AICS pattern mags tend to offer the most room inside.
