I'm new to reloading and am trying to find help with creating a load that may beat the performance of the "over the counter" Hornady 143gr ELD-X loads. I have a pound of H4350 and am interested in tuning a load for my American predator. I'm still learning the terminology and processes involved, so your patience is appreciated. If any more info is needed just let me know. Thanks.

What reading have you done on the factory 143gr eld-x offering? Someone somewhere has likely duplicated the load, or someone has first hand knowledge of powder type and charge weight. You could also fire and chronograph the factory 143gr eld-x through your rifle then look through several reloading publications and what what powders might give you a better velocity. Also if you’re new to reloading maybe just concentrate on finding a safe, accurate, and consistent load for your rifle. Reloading like many endeavors is best when pursued at a marathoners pace and not a sprinters. There’s a lot to learn.
