Hello all,
Just wanted to get some feed back. Over the years any time I have gone out to the range I have picked up brass that was left behind. Most of the time it was a lot of 223 and 308 plus some 9mm.
I never thought I would get into reloading so I bought at shows reloading brass and big box store purchase as well. Now that I got into reloading my questions are
The reloading brass I purcahse at shows can I reload those and keep them all together
Big box store purchase can I reload those with my own load or do I need to purchase new brass.
Sorting some times is very hard because of different stamps on the brass. Some I could tell are 223 but brand name is sometime hard and can't make out what they are.
Any feedback would be great and I just finished watching the first serias of videos on reloading. Picked up some more good info I never thought about.
Thank you in advance.
Thank you for the reply. SInce I'm currenlty loading .223 and have a tone of brass that I clenaed lastnight. I notice a lot of different head stamps. Since it's for plimking mixing the brass hold be okay right? Just find a load that works and move forawrd on that.
Hey! I’m not sure what you are asking in particular. I would try and keep the brass you bought, the lots specifically, together. Don’t mix any other brands that you have together and keep the headstamps and lots in their respective groups.
If you have a bunch of mixed headstamped cases and lots, perform any general ladder test to workup. This will keep you safe.
You’ll be fireforming those cases to your specific chamber.
